Originally built in 1797 and located at the far eastern end of Long Island, New York, Montauk Point Lighthouse was crafted by local artisans of fine-hammered Chatham freestone. In 1860, the tower was rebuilt to increase its overall height to 108 feet, so its light could be seen 19 miles at sea. Boston LightWorks manufactures this original design by artist Justin Derrico. Overall lamp height is 24".
